Behind this project we have the two Danish producers Kasper Smed Nielsen aka. MIKKAS and Nicholas Søbye aka. BACKSLASH. They met each other in the beginning of 2004 on the internet, and they were immediately intrigued by each others different kind of styles and ideas. The work they started doing together was much appreciated by the underground clubbing scene all around the world, and dj’s like DJ LEE started playing their music in several sets around the world. BACKSLASH VS MIKKAS was created in 2004, but was first discovered and signed by SPIN THAT RECORDS back in the beginning of 2006. As producers the Danish duo released their first two tracks in 2006. It was the club wrecking track “ALL MY LIFE” that made the BACKSLASH VS MIKKAS project stand out from the crowd. Kasper and Nicholas also created a new project together with the German hit-producers Nils Karsten and Michael-Lee Boch aka. DJ LEE. The project CAVÈ & PREY was brought to life and the track “ENERGY” was born. “ENERGY” was remixed by famous MEGARA VS DJ LEE and released together with “ALL MY LIFE” on a pumping vinyl in 2006 from SPIN THAT RECORDS.
As remixers the two Danes have already accomplished to remix several known artists like; MEGARA VS DJ LEE, BASSLIMIT, SUPERFLASH, CHEMISTRY, VAN DER KARSTEN and more. They are always trying to renew the clubbing scene, and with their hard pumping beats, floor ripping bass’ and melodic touch to their tracks and remix’s, BACKSLASH VS MIKKAS has certainly been given their significant place on the international clubbing scene. |
